Inclusive practice CPD for schools and colleges

We help schools plan for every child, not just the ones on the register.

We are Kelly and Sadie. We deliver workshops, seminars and consultancy on inclusive practice, from a single session for a small team to a programme that runs across a whole setting. Tell us what is actually happening in your classrooms and we will tell you whether we are the right people for it.

Normal was never enough.

Our approach

Three cogs. Remove one and inclusion fragments.

  • People

The adults in the room and what they understand about the children in front of them. Trauma, long term stress and SEMH need change how a learner behaves and how they retain anything, and staff who can read that respond differently.

  • Environment & Language

How a setting talks about need shapes what it expects. Moving a staff team from a medical model to a social one changes the words on the wall, in the reports and in the staffroom, and the expectations follow the words.

  • Curriculum

What is planned, and who it was planned for. Inclusive pedagogies, how memory and knowledge actually connect, and whether the planning is quietly built around one kind of learner.

What we cover

Eight sessions, built to be mixed.

  • Introduction to Inclusive Practice

The starting point, and quick win strategies a team can use straight away.

  • Social vs Medical model

Reframing your language, and what changes once a staff team does.

  • Trauma and Learning

How the effects of trauma and long term exposure to stress impact learning.

  • Experiential learning for the win

How memory and knowledge connect, and what that means for planning.

  • Boys v Girls

Is your planning guilty of gender bias?

  • Exploring Inclusive Pedagogies

The approaches that work across a mixed group rather than for one part of it.

  • Inclusion beyond the SEND register

The children who need something different and are not on anybody's list.

  • SEMH

Practical strategies to boost attendance, retention and achievement for learners with SEMH needs.

Who we are

Two people from the sector, with different halves of the same problem.

  • Kelly Ardron
  • Sadie Rollins

Founders

ReFrame Inc was founded by Kelly Ardron and Sadie Rollins. Sadie's work is driven by understanding the socioeconomic factors that shape educational attainment. Kelly's expertise is in SEND and inclusive practice. Between them that covers most of the reasons a child ends up not being planned for.

We have been working together since 2019, building a foundation of evidence informed inclusive practice that benefits every learner rather than a subgroup of them. We work across schools, colleges and education settings, from primary through to adult education.

Our own experience in the sector shaped all of this. Inclusion is the whole of what we do, and it has been the whole of what we do since the beginning.
